Long time, eh?

Been away doing research for my honours level (which is 4th year for the rest of the world. Was 4 years here too until the govt wanted more people with degrees sooner and just cut it down the 3 and made the 4th year a postgraduate studies year. Yeah, I suffer from a REALLY bad govt)

So much stress. I don't think I did well with it. My supervisor was so great and the first 13-17 pages is great, I think, but the last stretch I was under so much pressure because I had an exam to write as well...
Ugh. Not my best.

And then there is my exam. Not what I had prepared for. I was prepared for an engaging paper. What did we get: memory games. Shit that should be reserved for first years. He asked us questions that you would only have needed to memorize a specific paragraph for. Literally. That was what we had to spew back. I feel like this semester has been mostly a waste. I wish I could move to another varsity. Tired here...

I saw a car crash this morning. Most of the lanes of the freeway were closed. It was so bad. Fire rescue were using jaws of life to pry the car open. It was that bad...
And just over the weekend someone had replied to a comment on YT that I had left on a vid of GACKT driving with one hand on the wheel of his car and not wearing his seat belt properly. I had commented that there was a reason for the rules of the road that we have and someone had replied that I should wait because I would find myself doing the same.
One of the things that I despise most in the world is bad drivers. It is easy to obey the rules of the road. There is a BRILLIANT reason for them too: to keep you and everyone else on the road alive. But most people fail to get that. And people who exhibit the bad behaviour will see nothing wrong with it and assume that everyone is as arrogant or as stupid as they are.

Not going to spend any more time on that because I will get seriously worked up about it...

Hoping to find a job for the holidays and make me some money to keep me busy until school opens next year. Plus, it would be nice to take by boyfriend out again. I LOVE paying for stuff instead of having someone else pay for me... Unfortunately, a friend told me that the usual places that hire are done already. Sucks. Don't know where to look and who to ask. I guess I will have to surf the net and see what I find...

Hoping to start jogging again. It is turning into summer which means that days are longer and I can finish the usual distance that I go for. Don't know if I will last this tile though... My knees have been giving me hell these last few weeks. Climbing stairs is MURDER. I am really worried about how bad it will get as I grow older... Arthritis? Another reason to jump off a cliff when I am 40...

I keep watching this movie that my icon is off of. It is a gay movie but what strikes me about it is the other story in it. One of the main characters id from an orphanage in South Korea where the movie is based. I read an interview that the director gave on the movie and he says that while researching for the movie, he found out that orphans just got kicked out of the homes when the became legal and that most of them end up in host bars and with no education and no family, they end up having to take whatever jobs that they can get. He said that he was thinking of making a doccie about that. I would want to see it even though I know I would spend most of my time crying...

Waiting for my exam mark to come out now... will see how that one goes. Still pissed, but better to not think about it too much...

and now LJ is giving me issues...
