funny thing is i had left school after telling my friend to do the same to lessen the chances of getting mugged...

i was going home from campus but unfortunately the taxi i was taking wouldn't go all the way to where i was going and i had to jump off at a place i don't usually jump off at.
it was sort of dark but people were still around and stuff.
i was walking really fast because i didn't want to get caught by someone (funny that)
i had my backpack tight on my back too (another anti-mugging precaution of mine, funny)

all of a sudden this guy (smelled like shit too) just grabbed my hand and demanded my cellphone
i told him i didn't have one.
YEAH RIGHT
i had it in the front pocket of my jeans and was listening to my music through my headphones.

yeah so that is how it went
i am normally very cautious about where i go and am always ready for a fight (i grew up in an area that was not so nice since our house was across the road from a tavern)
and even now where my family lives, the flat we live in is a really not the greatest place and i am more that willing to throw someone down the stairs and make a run for it
