I wasn't surprised TBH. My time in Thailand opened up my eyes to a lot of stuff. Will forever hate PONDS for distributing whitening cream at my school there... I saw an Indian ad a long while back for whitening cream and the man-drawing power you get when you are white and I was soooo pissed...

Have been away for the holidays and now I am back.
First thing that I came across on LJ was GACKT getting married and having a baby. I was genuinely shocked as he had said that he was not going to be going through that again. But the picture of hiim with a baby is just toooo good. YEP, I was fooled. UGH.
Not really a Monday but we had to follow the Monday timetable yesterday, so here we go:

JACK (age 3)
Was watching his Mom breast-feeding his new baby sister... After a while he asked: 'Mom why have you got two? Is one for hot and one for cold milk?'

MELANIE (age 5)
Asked her Granny how old she was.. Granny replied she was so old she didn't remember any more. Melanie said, 'If you don't remember you must look in the back of your panties. Mine say five to six.'

STEVEN (age 3)
Hugged and kissed his Mom good night 'I love you so much that when you die I'm going to bury you outside my bedroom window.'

BRITTANY (age 4)
Had an ear ache and wanted a pain killer. She tried in vain to take the lid off the bottle. Seeing her frustration, her Mom explained it was a child-proof cap and she'd have to open it for her. Eyes wide with wonder, the little girl asked: 'How does it know it's me?'

SUSAN (age 4)
was drinking juice when she got the hiccups. 'Please don't give me this juice again,' she said, 'It makes my teeth cough..'

DJ (age 4)
Stepped onto the bathroom scale and asked: 'How much do I cost?'

CLINTON (age 5) was in his bedroom looking worried when his Mom asked what was troubling him, he replied, 'I don't know what'll happen with this bed when I get married. How will my wife fit in it?'

MARC (age 4) was engrossed in a young couple that were hugging and kissing in a restaurant. Without taking his eyes off them, he asked his dad: 'Why is he whispering in her mouth?'

TAMMY(age 4) was with her mother when they met an elderly, rather wrinkled woman her Mom knew. Tammy looked at her for a while and then asked, 'Why doesn't your skin fit your face?'

Listening to their Best Of right now. I only knew two songs from them, Precious and Enjoy the Silence, but I am glad I found this. All that is left is for me to have the money to by them the next time I see them in the store. WOAH, my first must buy that is not Asian.... I can't think of one Western artist that is a must buy for me.... Partly because I don't pay attention to Western music at all these days... Anyways.....

HOSPITAL BILL

A man suffered a serious heart attack while shopping in a store. The store
clerks called 911 when they saw him collapse to the floor.

The paramedics rushed the man to the nearest hospital where he had emergency
open heart bypass surgery...

He awakened from the surgery to find himself in the care of nuns at the
Catholic Hospital. A nun was seated next to his bed holding a clipboard
loaded with several forms, and a pen. She asked him how he was going to pay
for his treatment.

"Do you have health insurance?" she asked.

He replied in a raspy voice, "No health insurance."

The nun asked, "Do you have money in the bank?"

He replied, "No money in the bank."

Do you have a relative who could help you with the payments?" asked the
irritated nun.

He said, "I only have a spinster sister, and she is a nun."

The nun became agitated and announced loudly, "Nuns are not spinsters! Nuns
are married to God."

The patient replied, "Perfect. Send the bill to my brother-in-law."

I used to wish I had another name because I hate my second name. It is truly horrible, courtesy of my father. The one my mother gave me is too perfect for words. It is my firts name. I understand the meaning (helps that it is my own language), it has a good meaning, based on positive history and I feel like I can relate to it. She put some thought into it, something that a lot of parents don't do in my opinion. The name they give their child is the name that their child has to live with, go to school with, interact with other people with. Don't translate names either. It may sound good and be good in one language but ridiculous in another.

Well, I haver finally succeeded. I managed to order a CD for myself online on Yesasia^^
My mother paid. Me thinks it is because she pulled something horrible over the weekend, bad enough to warrant some serious guilt. She let me use her credit card and on the way is BIGBANG's new mini album. I was caught between that album and the one from Seungri, but what is done is done. The album has been getting mixed reviews so I am jittery, especially since they have gotten so commercial these last few years.... If this is a fail for me, I am afraid that I may not buy from them again in the near future. I hate wasting money...

Shame I couldn't get anything else. Money is WAAAAAAAAY too tight and buying something GACKT would have been waaaaaaay tooooo much, especially with the RIDICULOUS shipping fees we have to pay just because we are on the African continent..... G and the rest of my Japanese faves will have to wait till I can afford him, whenever that will be....

On a side note, download speeds have been RIDICULOUS here. Moved from 100kb/s to 5.5kb/s. School slowed them down on purpose to discourage people from downloading, except now, lecturers are battling to upload stuff, like this vid we have to see for Politics.... A PDF takes two minutes instead of a few seconds to download...
That slow.
I have been missing out on so many uploads from people, behind on dramas and everything... Am trying to find someone to leach from but no bite.

I don't usually do this. I am not into fashion, at least, I am not a follower. Black is my official colour and keeping it simple and comfortable is my philosophy.

the issues of not having a real choice in where you study is that you have to put up with whatever shit your varsity throws at you, including them not having stamps to certify your forms.

i was on the verge of tears since the forms i have to certify are necessary for my scholarship form and there is no other time for me to hand it in. if is not queuing for something, you have to go around begging for other things.
i just decided to give it to them as it was, it was not my problem that they were so disorganized. i am going home.

can't wait for registration (-__-)

the year is done for good now
exam results are out and i am seeing postgrad studies next year, just submitted my forms for the school of politics today, next up is scholarship forms....and they never make the process easy, i swear it is deliberately done to weed people out: those who REALLY want it and those who don't.

holidays also mean that i am going to be away from my precious internet for a good long while and me is sooo saaaaaaad...
